An Essex recycling centre has been closed today (September 22) after a fire broke out. Rayleigh Recycling Centre was closed due to a fire on site. The recycling centre is located on Castle Road. Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to Castle Road, Rayleigh at 8.34am this morning. "On arrival crews discovered one metal bin alight in the recycling centre.
