Although it might be fun to tackle the exploration and adventure of Hytale by yourself, there's always the opportunity to bring friends along with you! You'll be able to have friends join you on your server, or you can join them, so you don't have to do every single task by yourself. This page details everything you need to know about playing with friends and setting up a Hytale server. How to Create a Hytale ServerCreating a server is the first thing you'll get to do shortly after you set up and launch Hytale. You want to go to the Worlds page, and select Create World on the bottom right. You'll have the option to make it an Exploration or a Creative world. An Exploration world involves building, crafting, and surviving, progressing through each Zone. A Creative world gives you access to everything right away, without needing to gather or unlock things. We recommend making a Creative world if you want to focus on building rather than survival. You can also customize the server settings by visiting the Settings option, allowing you to play with the day and night cycle settings, an inventory penalty on death, how much durability your items lose on death, and if you'd like to play with PvP. The default settings have PvP turned off, and it feels like a balanced experience. After you've chosen what type of Hytale world you'd like to run, the next step is to name it and then enter the world. When you're in your world, you can freely invite friends and others to join you! You'll be able to do this by clicking the ESC key on your keyboard and clicking the "Online Play" option on the right side of your menu. With the Online Play menu, you'll be able to determine if you'd like to play with others or not in your world. If you do, you'll now be able to send your friends a code for them to directly join you. We also recommend setting up a password to ensure no one who is not invited to join your server hops into your game! When you're ready to invite your friends, set your Online Play to On for "Allow Other Players to Join," and then hit save. A private code will appear that you can send to your friends, allowing them to join you. For those who want to run their own private Hytale Server, the developers have a ! It comes with a bit more work than the standard in-game one, and the person hosting it should expect their computer to use more RAM and CPU resources to keep it running. How to Play With FriendsWhen you want to join a friend's server, you'll be able to do this from the main menu by going to the "Servers" page. From here, on the bottom right, you can choose to use the Join Via Code if your friend is hosting a server and they've sent you an invite code, or you can choose to Add a Server to your favorites list. If you add a server to your list, you'll need the connection address for that server and to give it a name before you can join. When you join a friend's server, you'll be able to freely roam and enjoy your Hytale adventure with everyone who is on that server! You'll want to work together to get your Furnace going and begin collecting Copper immediately to have the best start. (责任编辑:) |
